Neenah Paper has an immediate opening for an Electrician Mechanic at our Brattleboro, VT location.
This position is part of the Maintenance Team that supports the paper machines, converting lines, and general mill needs, and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The exact schedule of this position is to be determined, but most likely to be 2nd shift or 3rd shift.  The ideal candidate has the attitude, initiative, and excellent skills to support Neenah’s collaborative, high-achievement culture.


The Electrician Mechanic “A” is responsible for providing safe, timely, dependable, and competent electrical and mechanical support services for the troubleshooting, maintenance, reliability,servicing and installation of equipment and systems so as to provide maximum equipment/system availability and functionality. In support of the above objective, the incumbent is responsible for supporting and assisting in the daily operations of the Maintenance department as a working electrician, including performing mechanical repairs as needed.
Included in this responsibility are: commitment to safety in all job duties, fulfilling work orders, assisting the supervisor as required in planning, estimating and scheduling of all assigned maintenance installation/upgrade projects, preventive maintenance and repair of all equipment to include, but not limited to: power distribution and lighting systems, AC/DC electronic machine drives, inverters, machine controls, programmable logic controls,  process instrumentation and controls, generation equipment, uninterruptible power supplies and other electrical devices, etc.


- A valid VT Journeyman’s Electrician license (or one from a state that is reciprocal); or the proven ability to obtain a valid VT Journeyman electricians license within 3 months after hire date. Additionally, you must be able to furnish and maintain in good repair a defined set of tools.
- A minimum of 4 years’ related work experience, preferably in a similar industrial environment

- Be willing to work overtime, call-ins, off-shifts, call-ins and weekends as necessary
- Possess technical/problem solving skills
- Contribute in a team environment to meet our business objectives
- Ability to respond to call-ins as necessary
- Ability to maintain acceptable attendance
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat and stoop
- Ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, and equipment training manuals
- Ability to accurately read and record data
- Ability to climb stairs and work from steps, ladders, scaffolds, mobile lifts and elevator platforms
- Ability to operate/use manual and powered material handling equipment such as a pickup truck, hand dolly, chain fall, chain hoist, electric hoist, tractor, truck and heavy equipment as needed
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures when necessary
- Ability to work in confined spaces when necessary
- Ability to work on and around moving equipment
- Ability to lift/move weights of up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to learn and utilize PC based systems
